Marshall passed his hunter's safety course so for Christmas I secured a cow elk permit for him good on the Fishlake unit. We spotted a small herd two miles off and was able to hike into position. As we were trying to find a prone rest for a 400 yard shot, they caught our movement and took off. We tracked them up and Marshall was able to put down this giant cow with one well placed shot. She was a giant, as big as some of the big bulls we have harvested!

Marshall's First Big Game Hunt
Marshall passed his hunter's safety course so for Christmas I secured a cow elk permit for him good on the Fishlake unit. We spotted a small herd two miles off and was able to hike into position.
