Taking One For The Team


 

      It was hard for Briley to get away from volleyball and High School to do some hunting with me this year. We hunted all day on the mountain on the opener and were on our way back home when we spotted a group of deer with this buck in with them just outside of town. I talked Briley into letting us call Bron and join in on the stalk and shoot this small buck for jerky meat and for Bron.

     We waited for Tara to bring him out. We had Brooklyn and Brody stay back at the truck watching through the spotting scope. Briley, Bron and I stalked in for the shot. We cut the distance in half and Briley nestled in on the sticks and made a 250 yd shot knocking him down. Bron watched it through his binoculars and was quite impressed with his big sister. Way to go Briley!
