Mega Thirds Bull





While spike hunting on the Fishlake Unit I captured this phoneskope image of this awesome broken bull. I couldn't believe just how long his thirds were. So I contacted my friend Russell Mason as I knew a family member of his had not filled hit limited entry permit yet. We made arrangements to meet that afternoon. We hiked into where I thought he bedded and we found his cows just 100 yards below us. We could hear him bugle in the background and I will always remember him walking out into view next to his bedded cows. He turned his head and bugled and I lost it. Once he turned broadside I cow called and BOOM went the report of the gun. Check out those 24" thirds!
