With dad's health ailing fast we didn't know what 2020 would bring. He had a dozen deer points and so we applied him for the Conover Jensen CWMU not sure if he would even be able to hunt. As October rolled around, dad had challenges walking due to his Lewy Body disease but he was able to hunt. I had a work commitment and unfortunately wasn't able to tag along.
The brothers drove him into his unit and the first buck they saw was a daddy crossing the road in front of them. The rolled up alongside it and there was three bucks together, two standing side by side.
They got Dad out and ready and told him to shoot the top buck. The smaller bottom buck dropped!!!
When they were gutting it out for him, Dad told them he saw both bucks and decided to aim between them both thus increasing his odds of hitting at least one of them. Ha,ha! Dad never was much of a trophy hunter.
